Overview
Road signage, edge marker posts, sight and guard rails are a significant asset in the roading network.
Installation and maintenance of these roadside items can be time consuming because of: difficult ground conditions, problems with supply of materials and site organisation, inefficient assembly, inappropriate positioning, poor sight distances, obstructions and location errors.
This introductory level course is aimed at giving field staff a basic understanding of the background requirements of such work, as well as developing good work practices and skills to reduce costs.
