River Protection and Flood Damage

Overview

The maintenance of a highway network is very dependent on the prevention of damage from storm run off and floods.

This course will provide an understanding of flood damage problems, assist in identifying potential failures, provide examples of solutions and give case studies for discussion. There will be an emphasis on the critical elements of bridges, culverts and road structures.

This course has been designed in conjunction with NZ Transport Agency.
