Overview
This course covers the safety aspects of working in and around trenches within the civil industry and covers drainage work from small pipe, small scale excavations to large storm water and deep excavations.
The construction and instillation of shoring and retaining equipment and materials is covered in detail and there are exercises in design during the day.
It is a detailed look at what can happen if the correct procedures are not taken.
There have been many accidents and deaths involving work around trenches and with the correct training these accidents can be reduced.
From the Company’s point of view all staff need to have this knowledge and training to make themselves safe.
