Module 1 - The Project Life Cycle[Total 2 hours]

  • The first module defines the project life cycle which is the duration of the project composed of all the individual project phases. The project phases include: Define, Plan, Implement and Close

What you will learn: List four phases of the project life cycle; define the purpose, inputs and outputs of each phase; understand the sequence of project management activities.

Module 2 - Organisational Styles [Total 1.5 hours]

  • The second module covers organisational structures and how they affect projects and project management. Projects are influenced by the style and structure of the organization in which they are carried out. This module develops an awareness of these issues and how they can impact on projects.

What you will learn: Identify functional, matrix and projectised organisational structures; list the impacts of each structure on project management; understand how organisational structure affects projects.
