On completion of this course participants will have the knowledge to:
- Perform all site related contract communication duties required of a construction contractor's supervisor
- Plan and organise chipsealing construction to comply with specified requirements
- Describe the types of seal coats and basic design processes for chipseal
- Apply their knowledge of bitumen and chip selection to produce high quality surfacing
- Confirm or modify original design according to actual conditions immediately prior to sealing
- Directly supervise the physical works involved in chipseal construction

1496 (expiring) Demonstrate knowledge of bitumen materials, their modification and handling on chipsealing works
1503 (expiring) Plan and organise site activities for chipseal construction
1506 (expiring) Perform pre-construction checks and supervise repairs prior to chipseal operations
14664 (expiring) Demonstrate knowledge of sealing chip used in bitumen surfacing
